Avin Legg fired a final round of 74 to lead the Simpson College men’s golf team on the final day of the American Rivers Conference Championships.
Legg’s 74 was the best single score of a Storm player at the conference championships since Nathan Eaton (73) and Andrew Lallier (72) in the final round of the 2018 championships. Legg, who tied for 14th overall, also recorded the best individual finish since Reid Cobb’s fifth-place finish in 2017.
The freshman led the Storm for the second time at an event this season, the first coming in the opening event of the year in the fall. Simpson fired a 309 on the final day to claim sixth place, finishing ahead of Buena Vista, Coe, and Loras.
