WeLIFT and the Indianola Chamber of Commerce are partnering for the Second Annual Mental Health in the Workplace summit next week, focusing partly on how to react and respond when tragedy hits the workplace. WeLIFT Executive Director Sue Wilson tells KNIA News the focus of the summit was directly from an Indianola business that had to go through.
“What do we do when tragedy unexpectedly hits? Your coworker loses a spouse, a child gets terribly injured, somebody in their household loses a job, whatever that tragedy may look like in that home or workplace, how do we address that? How do we respond with the right conversations, how do we respond with the right resources, what do we really do?”
