UPDATE: Emergency response agencies from Pella and Knoxville responded to a multiple-car crash on Highway T-15 at the Red Rock Dam this morning. Marion County Sheriff Jason Sandholdt says four total vehicles were involved: three were stopped at the stoplight in the one lane construction zone, and the fourth rammed into the back of them. One person was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. It happened shortly after 7:20 a.m., and Sandholdt believes the heavy fog at the time was a strong factor.

“Obviously with really dense fog like we had, it is always important for drivers to use extra precautions when driving in those conditions,” Sandholdt says.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Knoxville Fire and Rescue, Pella Rural Fire, Pella Ambulance, and the Pella Police Department, and possibly other agencies.
