Each year thousands of people make their way to Pella for the annual Tulip Time Festival.
This year’s celebration is the 89th annual festival, and people from all over the United States are making their way to Pella to take part in the festivities. Judy Hauk, who is a retired school teacher from Oklahoma, says that she made the trip to the Tulip City to take part in a mystery tour. Hauk added that she has enjoyed getting to see the history of Pella.
“I think it’s a great opportunity that involves the entire community. And there’s great heritage here, and we’re just thrilled to get to be here and see the tulips and meet the people and know more about the culture of the Dutch.”
