The Norwalk girls and boys soccer teams finished the week with shutout wins over Urbandale on Friday night, outscoring the J-Hawks by a combined 7-0.

Girls win 4-0

The Warrior girls won their fifth consecutive game, topping Class 3A 12th-ranked Urbandale 4-0. Norwalk, which moved up to third in the 2A state rankings after defeating top-ranked Dallas Center-Grimes earlier this week, improved to 10-4 overall. They have not allowed a goal during their current win streak.

Junior Braelyn Clark increased her team-leading goal count to 16 on Friday with a pair of scores and added one assist. Anna Larson and Addison Burch also scored goals for the Warriors while Tatum Miller and Karina Garcia both had one assist. Goalkeeper Katie Liedtke captured four saves. Norwalk closes out Little Hawkeye Conference play on Tuesday with a home match against Indianola.

Boys win 3-0

The Class 3A eighth-ranked Warrior boys picked up a 3-0 win at Urbandale, improving their season record to 7-8 overall. Caden Endres got Norwalk on the board in the first half, scoring off a Teegan Kralik corner kick. Keilor Rodman and Eli Scavo added second-half goals, both assisted by Grant Fletcher, and goalie Jacoby Robbins earned his fifth shutout of the year.

The Warriors will look to get back to the .500 mark on Tuesday night, finishing conference play at Indianola.
