The city of Norwalk will hold their spring clean up day and their drop-off events next week. The spring clean-up day, which will be held on Monday, May 13th, provides residents the opportunity to get rid of large items or extra garbage by placing it on the curb. Accepted items for the spring clean-up day include couches, desks, lamps, toys, mattresses, chairs, doors, and carpet that is cut into 4’ long x 18” diameter rolls. On Saturday, May 18th, Norwalk will hold their drop-off event at the Public Works Facility at 2626 North Avenue. Items that can be dropped off include tires, paper shreddings, appliances, scrap metal, oil, auto-batteries, wood chips, and compost. Those participating in the drop-off event must be a City of Norwalk residential garbage customer and will be required to show proof of residency.
