Knoxville High School will hold their spring choir concert on Tuesday.

The concert will start at 7:00 pm and be held at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center. This concert is also a night to honor the seniors as they receive special recognition. There will be performances from the chamber singers, concert choir, and the audience will get a preview of the song that the chamber seniors and the choir seniors will perform for graduation. Three outstanding seniors will also receive awards at the concert. Knoxville High School Choir Director Ian Heetland encourages the community to come out to the concert, and he says it’s exciting to see the growth of the program.

“I think that one of the coolest things about the performing arts here at Knoxville is just how much growth and passion you will see from the departments. When I took over in the fall of 2021 the vocal music department was at 49. This year we have had some students move away but in my peak time here the student body had grown from 49 singers to 72, so you’re showing 50% program growth in that short amount of time. It’s insane.”
