Area residents can meet the Republican candidates running for the Marion County Board of Supervisors later today. An event will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Pella Memorial Building on Broadway Street. Candidates have been invited for a meet and greet event, which will allow June primary voters to interact with candidates and ask questions about the issues. Current Board of Supervisors Mark Raymie and Steve McCombs are running for re-election, while former Pella Mayor Jim Mueller has also filed for office. The event is open to the public and hosted by the Marion County Republican Central Committee. Another event will be held in Knoxville on May 21st.
