The Indianola City Council approved the first consideration of the Buxton Traffic Signal Project at their meeting Monday, replacing old and defective equipment. City Manager Ben Reeves tells KNIA News the equipment would intermittently go in and out of service, and the project redesigned the intersection and will add ADA improvements.
“That project will be kicking off this year. The project had six bidders, and came in $155,000 under the construction estimate, so that’s great news for the city. It allowed us to have some financial capacity to tie it with fiber to the other traffic lights in town so it works more smoothly, and our traffic flow can continue to go as best as possible.”
