The Pleasantville track and field teams competed at the Class 2A State Qualifying Meet at Roland-Story Thursday night, and had one event automatically qualify to run in Des Moines next week.
Helping lead the Trojan boys to a seventh place finish in the meet was freshman Braylon Bingham, who was Pleasantville’s only athlete to earn an automatic spot at Drake Stadium. Bingham claimed the top spot in the high jump Thursday night, clearing the bar at 5’ 10”. While only one event for the Trojans automatically qualified for State, three other events finished in third place.
