The annual Indianola Fire Department Pancake Breakfast is today, and they are inviting the public to meet the department members and participate in one of the largest fundraisers of the year, in partnership with the Indianola Noon Lions.

Rick Wilson with the Indianola Noon Lions tells KNIA News the Lions Club has been partnered with the Fire Department for decades, and they are happy to help provide any services they can to assist.

“This is one that we picked up about 20 years ago plus, doing the pancake breakfast. We’ve had a lot of good times with it, a lot of people have turned out just because we’re involved, the Lions Club, our service group is involved with this. Of course, it’s the Fire Department. The things that they can provide to the community, and we want to support that and we’ve done that. It’s been a long time, since 1957. It’s been something that our club just jumps on, we want to be a part of this, we want to help the community any way we can, and that’s our way of doing it.”

The breakfast is today from 7-11am, with everyone invited.
