The Marion County Roads Department is set to begin a busy spring and summer for road construction projects this week.
The Roads Department is set to continue their shoulder repaving project on County Highway G76 on Monday. The project will include widening and repaving the shoulders and putting in rumble strips and pavement markings. During the project, G76 will be down to one lane and the project is anticipated to last for one to two weeks.
On Wednesday, the Marion County Roads Department will begin asphalt milling and overlay on County Highway G28 from Highway 14 to the City of Pella. The project is expected to take place between six and eight weeks to complete and G28 will be down to one lane traffic in one- to two-mile increments during construction.
