The Knoxville Boys Tennis Squad fell to Grinnell in the opening round of the 1A team Substate on Saturday 5-0. #1 singles player Henry Picard lost to Trent Turba 6-1 and 6-1 while Elijah Bumgardner lost to Sam Simon at #2 singles 6-1 and 6-1. Jacob Williamson fell to Zander Freeman 6-0 and 6-0 at #3 singles, Talon Brown was defeated by Cole Blackford at #4 6-1 and 6-1 and Elisha Bacon fell at #5 singles 6-1 and 6-3 Coach Kevin Wadle tells KNIA/KRLS Sports there was more improvement this season, but they still have a long way to go.
