The Pella Police Department will host a Peace Officer Memorial Day Ceremony this week. The event will be held on Wednesday, May 15th at 10:00 a.m. in the Public Safety Complex Training Room. The department will honor officers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice, including those from agencies within Marion County. The ceremony will commence with a City Proclamation by Mayor Don DeWaard, followed by a message from Police Chief Shane McSheehy and other keynote speakers. The public is encouraged to attend.
