The Knoxville School Board approved Randy Wilson Track improvement quotes at their meeting Monday night.
These are quotes for the final work to be done at Randy Wilson Track as the project will be nearing completion in the next few months. The quotes that were approved were for the new concession stand with bathrooms, fencing, and rock. Knoxville Community School District Business Manager Craig Mobley said there will just be a little bit of minor work left to complete after these projects are complete. Mobley hopes the entire project will be completed by the start of school next academic year
“After this, the only items we will have left to finish is some additional dancing and some additional concrete work out there, and hopefully we will have that ready to go sometime in August.”
Superintendent Cassi Pearson says she is excited about the improvements and looks forward to providing nice facilities to those who visit and compete out at Randy Wilson Track.
“To be able to offer real bathrooms and family bathrooms and some storage, and a nice concession stand for all who visit and all who perform or play there, we are really excited to be able to move into the 21st Century.”
The district is still within their $2.5 Million budget for this project.
