The PCM baseball team dropped their season opener on the road at Newton Thursday 6-1.

The Cardinals defeated the Mustangs by just recording two hits on the night while PCM had four. PCM saw three innings of work from both Nick Farver and Trenner Van Dyke on the mound as Farver threw 81 total pitches and Van Dyke threw 40. An early triple in the first inning for Kaleb De Vries led to the lone run on the night for PCM.
