The Marion County Roads Department has provided updates on the road construction project taking place on County Highway G28 between Highway 14 and the city of Pella. The latest update, which came Friday afternoon, stated that the work zone has progressed steadily since beginning on Wednesday. As of Friday, the eastern portion of the construction includes the Hunters Ridge Subdivision Entrance (182nd Ave.) and the west end has shifted to the entrance to the Fifield Recreation area. According to the Roads Department, construction on G28 will resume on Monday and will progress between 180th St. and up to the intersection of T15. The Marion County Roads Department asks local residents to utilize an alternate route to avoid delays.
