The Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards program has recently selected Pella Christian High School’s Theatre Director Marlo Van Peursem as one of this year’s Theatre Impact Award recipients for the state of Iowa. The selection was based on his students’ nomination, citing his dedication to the high school musical experience and the contributions given to his students, community, and the arts, as evidenced by testimonials gathered from the school community. The Theatre Impact Award will be presented on stage at the Iowa High School Musical Theatre Awards (IHSMTA) Showcase on Thursday evening, May 30 at the Des Moines Performing Arts Center.
