The Knoxville Boys Soccer Squad pulled off the upset over Nevada on Monday night in the semifinal round of the class 2A Substate as the Panthers had to beat the Cubs on penalty kicks after the match was tied at 1-1 at the end of regulation and two overtime periods. Max Magana got the goal for Knoxville in regulation. Carson Cecil came up huge in goal getting seven saves and showed off his penalty kicking skills by nailing the game winner on the 7th kick. Knoxville now stands at 10-6 on the season. The Panthers will play #1 ranked Gilbert on Wednesday in the substate final.
