The PCM Community School District Board of Education has named Art Sathoff as the district’s interim superintendent for the 2024-25 school year. 

Sathoff has previously served as the interim superintendent of the Cedar Rapids Community School District and the superintendent of the Indianola Community School District. Art has been a member of the Urban Education Network of lowa’s steering committee since November 2022. He also served as a principal for the Pekin and Fairfield school districts. Sathoff holds an education specialist degree from Drake University and a master’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa. Board members worked with Grundmeyer Leader Services to conduct the search. Sathoff interviewed with the board and administrative team on May 16th.

Sathoff will officially begin leading the PCM Community School District on July 1st, and the search for a permanent superintendent will reconvene later next fall.
