The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for central Iowa until 1 p.m. This is for the first of what could be multiple rounds of intense thunderstorm activity today. Large hail and damaging winds will be the primary threats, and conditions are favorable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing severe hazards. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team will provide live coverage for any warnings in Marion and Warren Counties.
