It was season opening success for the Pella softball team as they defeated PCM 9-5 Thursday evening. The Dutch piled up 11 hits in the effort, including a 3-for-3 performance and three runs scored for Kamryn Long. Emma Eekhoff earned her first win in the center circle for Pella, going the full seven innings and giving up three earned runs while striking out seven Mustangs. The Dutch are 1-0 and scheduled to return on Tuesday vs. Gilbert.
