The Pleasantville softball team fell on the road to Newton 13-3 Friday night.
Trojans coach Alee Phillips said her team put pressure on throughout the game with hits and base runners, but the Cardinals had strong sticks. Phillips said her team’s defense was good overall. They had a few errors that cost them unearned runs, but they connected when needed. The loss drops the Trojan softball team to 3-1 on the season and they will be back in action on Tuesday against Earlham.
