Another strong round of multiple warnings affected Indianola and the surrounding Warren County area early Friday morning, including high winds, hail, rain, and possible funnel clouds reaching the ground. Warren County Emergency Management Coordinator Troy Bass tells KNIA News no tornadoes from either the early storm systems earlier this week or Friday morning have yet been confirmed, but the storms caused widespread damage to trees, homes, and power lines.

Indianola Municipal Utilities responded to multiple power outages over the course of the morning within the City of Indianola, with MidAmerican Energy reporting nearly two thousand were without power for much of Friday.

A full damage assessment of both storms that blew through the area will be released by Warren County Emergency Management as it is completed.
