An annual ceremony hosted by local veterans groups will return to Pella this holiday weekend. VFW Post 5242 and American Legion Post 89 are co-hosting a Memorial Day remembrance event today at 2 p.m. in the Pella Memorial Building. The event includes special music, a presentation of a memorial wreath, a report of past year’s burials, and guest speaker State Senator Ken Rozenboom. The ceremony concludes with the playing of taps and a rifle salute. The community is invited to attend.
