It was two run-rule victories by the Twin Cedars Boys and Girls of Summer on Tuesday night as the Softball Sabers made quick work of Moulton-Udell 12-0 in three innings and the baseball squad rolled over the Eagles 12-2 in five innings. The softball squad got two perfect innings from Jillian French, who struck out five and helped her own cause by socking a two run homer. Ami Mockenhaupt drove in three and Jayden Weldon added two RBIs on two hits. Over at the baseball field, it took a couple additional innings but the Sabers were able to wrap up a win and sent fans home early. After Moulton-Udell got the first run on the board, Twin Cedars scored five more to get some distance, then slammed the door shut with two more innings of crooked numbers. The Sabers rapped out 13 hits and held Moulton-Udell to four hits in five innings. Chase Roozeboom got the win going two innings on two hits and striking out five. Twin Cedars softball steps out of conference to travel to Cardinal today while baseball is off until Thursday when the Sabers travel to Lamoni.
