An open house hosted by Sundance Realty was held Wednesday in Knoxville’s new Veterans District.

This was an opportunity for a glimpse into new home living in Knoxville’s newest development. Attendees were able to tour new construction homes built by CCS Homes, Origin Homes, and Sage Homes, and learn about options for a custom build. Sundance Realty Realtor Sara Roberts said this event is a great way to celebrate new life out in the Veterans District.

“If you talk to many of us we are all pleasantly surprised with how quickly people have come out here, bought homes, they’re buying lots, and the interest is really great. For us it’s been really exciting to see. We’ve been watching it since before even the VA building went down, so just the new life out here has been super exciting for us.”

Origin Homes Director of Operations Matt Daniels says he is grateful for his company’s relationship with the City of Knoxville.

“When we started this project it was still kind of in the design phase, and I think we needed to get it built for people to really visualize and see what it could be and what the potential is out here. I’m just grateful for the opportunity to be a part of it, and I’m excited to continue the relationship with the City of Knoxville.”

Pending the award of housing tax credits, Origin has been approved to build five new homes in the Veterans District. The KNIA/KRLS Lil Big Red Radio was playing music at the event.
