A local group that pairs adults with children for mentoring is celebrating a milestone anniversary.

Journey Up Mentoring of Pella is recognizing its 35th year of providing mentoring for youth in the area. The group became its own non-profit entity in 2011, now led by Jill McKinstrey. The group seeks to guide children, who need and want mentors, towards their potential by providing them significant one-on-one relationships with trained adult mentors.
