Both Melcher-Dallas Baseball and Softball Squads fell in action against Ankeny Christian on Thursday. The baseball squad lost 8-0 and the softball squad fell 19-0. Baseball was hampered by seven errors and the Eagles took a 5-0 lead in the 3rd inning while the Saints were limited to just one hit which was by Evan Schrader. Leo Schrader took the loss going the distance striking out two. The softball squad fell behind early and could never recover, allowing four runs in the 1st and 2nd innings and 11 in the 3rd to end the game early. Lotty Nolte took the loss.
