100+ Men Red Rock presented a $10,000 check to The Gathering Place in Monroe on Friday.

The Gathering Place has a mission to engage the community and empower older adults and their caregivers to live life to their fullest potential. This center provides the community a place to gather with friends, participate in planned activities, and a location to rent for private functions. The funds from the donation will be put toward a digital events sign for daily community announcements. The Gathering Place Board President Natalie Pendroy says that they were grateful to be awarded with the donation.

“It’s over and beyond what we’re looking for. When we found out that we had gotten this money, one of my neighbor gals who was a big part in doing this, she came running to my door and I thought something was wrong. And she said, no, we got the $10,000, and I said you’ve got to be kidding, and she says, no we did. So, we were just ecstatic. Just an answer to another prayer.”
