The Melcher-Dallas Baseball Squad fell to Twin Cedars 15-1, while the softball squad got a win over East Union 10-5 in the Murray Invitational on Friday. The 2nd inning was the killer for the Saints Baseball Squad surrendering eight runs in the inning. Melcher-Dallas was also limited to five hits in the five inning game and committed seven errors. Austin Remster went 2/3 on the day to lead the Saints. Meanwhile, the softball squad rebounded from a lopsided loss on Thursday to post a win over East Union. The back and forth game saw the Eagles post three runs in the 2nd inning and build a 5-2 lead before the Saints scored four runs each in the 4th and 5th innings. Danni Enfield led the Saints offensively going 2/2 with a walk and three runs scored. Baseball will host Seymour on Tuesday…while softball will continue in the Murray Invitational today.
