The Pleasantville softball team picked up two wins at home on Saturday while the baseball team split at Coon Rapids.
The Trojan softball team defeated Lynnville-Sully 5-3 and Twin Cedars 12-0 to improve to 6-4 overall on the season. The Pleasantville softball team will be back in action on Monday against Des Moines Christian.
The Trojan baseball team competed in the Coon Rapids Crusaders Baseball Invite Saturday. The Trojans lost game one to Kee High with Brayden Kenendy taking the loss on the mound. Kennedy had two hits in the game while Braylon Bingham and JJ Phillips had doubles. In game two, Pleasantville defeated Bedford 8-7 in eight innings thanks to a walk off hit by JJ Phillips. In game two Braylon Bingham had four hits and three RBI while Phillips recorded four hits. The Trojan baseball team is now 7-4 on the season and will next compete on Monday against Des Moines Christian.
