The Knoxville Baseball Squad got a much needed win at Chariton on Monday 8-4. A six run 2nd inning spurred Knoxville to a 6-0 lead early on and the Panthers held on for the win. Knoxville got help from nearly everyone as Luke Roozeboom was 2/4 including a triple in that 2nd inning rally with two outs. He also collected two RBI and Kyler Gifford was 2/4 with two RBI and Colton Wight also had two hits on the night. Lincoln Norris got the win going 4 2/3 innings. Coach Turner Devore tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, the team is getting better at the mental part of the game, but there is still work to do.

Devore: “Playing pitch to pitch. You’re frustrated, you popped out with runners on second and third. You need to pick it up and move on, just flush it and move on. We really have to work on the mental game, that’s a big part of that for us.”

Knoxville will travel to Gilbert tonight to end its six game road trip while softball will face Bondurant-Farrar on Panther Drive tonight.
