The last gasp of spring capped another special season for the athletes in green and white Tuesday as Pella High School hosted the Class 1A state co-ed meet. The duos of Jack Briggs and Claire Smock and Joshua Roozeboom and Bryn Higginbotham placed 3rd and 4th respectively in the exhibition showcase of some of Iowa’s best tennis players. The meet comes on the heels of another incredible year for the Pella tennis programs, capped with a team championship for the girls and individual title for Briggs, as well as several top eight finishes for the boys team (3rd) and several individual qualifiers.
