The Pleasantville baseball and softball teams swept Woodward-Granger in varsity doubleheaders Thursday night.

The Pleasantville baseball team defeated the Hawks 12-10 in game one and 10-0 in game two in five innings. In game one, Caylor Jones was the winning pitcher for the Trojans as Easton Cox got the save. Offensively, Pleasantville had six players with two hit nights including Caleb Cook who had three. In game two, freshman Brayden Kennedy threw a no-hitter. JJ Phillips had three hits, Easton Cox had two hits, and Braylon Bingham had two hits to help contribute to a strong performance offensively. After the two wins, the Trojans improve to 9-6 on the season and will be back in action Monday against Van Meter. 

 

The Pleasantville softball team defeated the Hawks 9-5 in game one as Carly Cox got the win on the mound picking up five strikeouts. Danika Park, Taylor Perkins, and Kyleigh McConnell all had doubles in game one with Perkins and McConnell having two RBI a piece. In game two, the Trojans won 7-6 as Lainey Kennedy picked up the win on the mound. Madilyn Rowson had a big game offensively recording a double and 3 RBI. The Pleasantville softball team has now won seven games in a row and improves to 10-4 overall. The Trojans will next compete Monday at Van Meter.
