The Knoxville Public Library is holding an Eco-Cell collection drive in partnership with Blank Park Zoo.

The drive goes until July 12th and residents can drop off retired and/or broken cell phones, iPods, iPads, tablets, smartwatches, MP3 players, e-readers, digital cameras and handheld gaming systems to the library. Minerals from recycled electronics are reused and proceeds support the Gorilla Rehabilitation and Conservation Education Center. Recycling old electronics can help to decrease habitat destruction.
