The Indianola School Board met in regular session Monday. The board approved a temporary military-leave replacement for board member Tim Mills, and former board member Donna Kreamer will serve on the board until Mills returns from his deployment which is expected this fall.

The board tabled consideration of an Elementary Dean of Students position after a pre-meeting work session discussing the position, which included getting a financial breakdown of the position and other implementation of strategies including an additional school resource officer or a social worker.

The board approved the district leadership structure, the district audit, and a special health services regulation.

The board also heard reports from the facilities, finance, policy, and human resources committee meetings.
