The Indianola softball team stranded seven runners on base as they fell to the Wolves of Waukee Northwest in a non-conference matchup Tuesday night 6-1. The Wolves struck first, with Indianola answering with a Tessa Gripp single and Haley New RBI hit, but Northwest would score four unanswered to take the win. Indianola falls to 8-11 on the season.
The Indians will be joined by the baseball team at home with both teams hosting a doubleheader in Little Hawkeye Conference play against Newton. The softball game can be heard live on 94.3 KNIA, with Andrew Swadner on the call. Pregame coverage begins at approximately 7:15pm.
