The Pleasantville baseball team defeated Southeast Warren Wednesday night as the softball team fell to Albia.
The Trojan baseball team defeated the Warhawks 3-2 on a walk off sacrifice fly by Caleb Cook. Easton Cox was the winning pitcher for Pleasantville, throwing 1 ⅔ innings in a relief appearance. Brayden Kennedy and Tyler Gibson both had RBI in the game to round out the scoring for the Trojans. After the win, Pleasantville improves to 10-7 overall and will travel to ACGC tonight for a doubleheader.
The Trojan softball team fell to Albia 12-10. The bats came alive for Pleasantville in the sixth inning scoring six runs to tie the game at 10-10. Madilyn Rowson had a huge night offensively as she was just a triple away from the cycle and had five RBI. Ella Clark also had a three hit night for the Trojans. Lainey Kennedy was on the mound for Pleasantville and coach Alee Phillips said she battled and was able to push through some tough innings to hold until the end. After the loss, Pleasantville falls to 10-6 on the season and will also travel to ACGC tonight for a doubleheader.
