The Marion County Road Department has announced that a tentative partial closure of County Highway T15 is scheduled to begin on Monday.
T15 will be one lane from Lisbon Dr. to 180th, including the intersection of County Highway S71. The work zone will be controlled with flaggers and a pilot car with work anticipated to be completed in one week. Marion County Engineer Tyler Christian says that Norris Asphalt, who is working on the repaving of County Highway G28, will be working on the safety improvement project on T15 once work is done on the G28 project.
“So, once asphalt work is complete, hopefully Friday, they’ll be relocating to our T-15/Chrisman Corner project. So, we received a safety grant that’s paying for a hundred percent of this project, which includes paved shoulder widening at basically two hundred feet in each direction of the Chrisman Corner, which is at the T15 and S71 intersection. So, this project will include milling, paved shoulder widening, and then it will get a thin lift overlay, as well, center and edge line rumbles.”
