The Knoxville Boys and Girls of Summer doubled up on Davis County on Friday as both Panthers took wins over the Mustangs. The Baseball Panthers ended an otherwise frustrating week with a 5-1 victory over Davis County. The Panthers erupted for all five runs in the 3rd inning benefitting from errors and a balk on a steal attempt. Lincoln Norris got the win going 4 2/3 innings with no runs while Kyler Gifford went 2 1/3. Luke Roozeboom had an RBI double. Coach Turner Devore tells KNIA/KRLS Sports with this win and the busy conference schedule next week that awaits…there will be no easy games moving forward.
Devore: “Cardinal is playing really well right now. They have some good arms that I would take. They swept Davis County, and they are a lot better team than they were last year.”
The softball Panthers also won, pulling the season sweep of the Mustangs 7-2. Knoxville also ended an otherwise difficult week and look forward to a revenge game against Cardinal on Monday, a game that you can hear live on 95.3 KNIA.
