The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the individual involved in a skydiving accident in Knoxville Friday afternoon.

According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office, the individual involved in the incident was 61-year-old Samuel Owens of Urbandale. Owens had issues with his parachute while skydiving Friday which led to him being flown to a Des Moines hospital in critical condition. The extent of Owens’s injuries and his condition are not known at this time. KNIA/KRLS will continue to provide any updates when they become available.
