The Pella FFA had a busy and successful week of competition at the State Career Development Events.

Pella placed third at the annual Iowa FFA Veterinary Science CDE. The team included Raegan Decious, Lyndon Norton, Abby Hol, and Cayla Rozenboom. Decious was named as the overall top individual in the event and Norton was 7th place in state veterinary.

The FFA chapter placed 9th at the Iowa Ag Mechanics competition, a team that included Caleb Van Essen, Dylan Van Dyke, and Sampson Miller.

Pella’s State Horse Judging Team placed 5th overall in their competition, with Katie Meyer placing 9th and Lyndon Norton placing 10th individually. Abbey Votava was also a member of the team.

The state floriculture team of Anna German, Shaela Van Wyk, Alexis Nunnikhoven, and McKenna Salvador received a silver rating in their competition.
