The Indianola and Pella baseball and softball teams match up Monday evening for a Little Hawkeye Conference doubleheader.

The Indians fell to Pella on the baseball diamond 7-5 after giving up multiple three-run innings to the Dutch. Indianola has a one game lead in the conference standings over Pella at 7-3 behind Dallas Center-Grimes, and can extend their conference winning streak which currently stands at four.

The Indianola softball team survived 13 Pella hits and four defensive errors in a 7-4 win in the first matchup, and will look to reset after a 4-11 streak in their last 15 games. The Indians will need to continue to clean up on the defensive side, leading the conference with 57 errors, and take advantage of their offensive prowess being in the top three in nearly every offensive category in the conference.

Game two of the baseball doubleheader can be heard live on 92.1 KRLS, while softball will be heard live on 94.3 KNIA. Pregame coverage for both broadcasts begins at approximately 7pm.
