The Indianola School Board reviewed the audit as required by Iowa law at their latest meeting, reviewing finances, procedures, and policies of the district. Superintendent Ted Ihns tells KNIA News the audit is under the purview of the School Business Official, and they have always done a great job.

“It’s just making sure that we are following the proper policy, are we making sure that purchase orders are filled out before something is purchased, are we making sure that something isn’t going above the threshold of what is spent on a dollar amount before it has to be district approved or school board approved and all of those things. I think Johna (Clancy) has done a really good job in her time here at Indianola schools and has done a really good job of making sure our audit is really clean, and I think Chad (Vink) following up on Johna as the School Business Official will do that exact same thing.”
