The PCM softball team defeated Perry Monday night as the baseball team came up short in a Heart of Iowa Conference matchup. 

The #13 ranked Mustang softball team defeated the Jayettes 2-0 in an impressive pitching and defensive performance. Rylee Parsons and Camden Webb combined for a shutout on the mound with Parsons pitching five innings and getting the win and Webb pitching two innings to pick up the save. Offensively the Mustangs saw a strong performance from Libby Winters who went 3-3 on the night with two RBI while Lark Drake and Tori Lindsay also each had a hit. After the win the Mustang softball team improves to 14-2 overall and will next compete tonight at Lynnville-Sully. 

The Mustang baseball team fell to the Blue jays 4-3. The Mustangs jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the third inning, but Perry answered right back with two runs in the fourth. After both teams pushed a run across in the fifth, it was Perry who secured the winning run in the seventh inning. After the loss, the PCM baseball team falls to 7-10 on the season and will be back in action tonight at Pella Christian,  a game that can be heard live on 92.1 KRLS.
