Another day with wind and heat will give way to the possibility of multiple rounds of thunderstorms heading into Wednesday. Heat index values will approach 100 this afternoon and evening before a chance for late night rainfall may be coupled with a few strong storms. Those periodic chances for precipitation will carry into Wednesday evening, with some locations potentially receiving over an inch in that timeframe. A cooler Wednesday will be short-lived as temperatures climb toward and eventually top 90 degrees by the end of the week.
