Both Twin Cedars Summer Squads played challenging non-conference opponents and both were on the wrong end of the scoreboard on Monday night. The baseball squad fell to Martensdale-St. Mary’s 4-1. The Blue Devils outhit the Sabers 8-3 and held Twin Cedars to just three hits with one each coming from Dallas Smith, Kaden Kloster, and Gavin Clark. Chase Rozenboom took the loss going four innings. The Softball Squad took on class 2A #1 ranked Van Meter on Monday and fell 17-1. The Bulldogs had 12 hits and were issued seven walks, plus four Saber errors. Jillian French took the loss, she also drove in the only Twin Cedars run. Both Saber squads will travel to arch-rival Melcher-Dallas tonight.
