The PCM baseball team defeated Roland-Story 8-6 on the road Thursday night in a Heart of Iowa Conference matchup. 

The Mustangs hopped out to a two run lead in the top of the first inning and the Norseman then answered back with runs in the bottom of the first and second to tie the game up. PCM went into the sixth inning with a slight 4-3 advantage and exploded for four runs in the sixth to jump out to an 8-3 lead. After the Norseman scored two in the sixth and one in the seventh, the Mustangs were able to hold on for the conference win. Nick Farver had a big night offensively for PCM going 4-5 with four singles, and Jack Jungling and Trigg Steenhoek both had two doubles. Farver pitched 5 ⅔ innings for the Mustangs giving up five hits and recording 11 strikeouts while Easton Webb pitched 1 ⅓ innings.  

After the win, the PCM baseball team improves to 8-11 overall and 5-6 in the conference. The Mustangs will be back in action on Monday against South Hamilton.
