Richard (Dick) Millard Thomas passed away into his eternal home peacefully on June 13, 2024.
He was born on July 20, 1945 in Des Moines, lowa to Millard Donald Thomas Jr and Elnora
“Midge” Thomas. He was a 1963 graduate of Tech High School in Des Moines where he learned the trade of pressman. He continued in this trade for 30 years. Later he used his love and knowledge of cars to become a car salesman for 10 years until retirement. He was a 32nd degree Mason. He accepted the Lord into his heart in 1969 and was baptized. He attended Southern Baptist University in Bolivar Missouri for 2 years, and Southern Baptist Seminary in Kansas City.
He was a preacher for several churches. He was very proud of helping to start the prison ministry in lowa. He was instrumental in bringing the first faith based programs into the lowa prison system. He enjoyed vacationing with his wife Grace in Branson and Puerto Vallarta. He also enjoyed spending time with his beloved grandchildren.
He is survived by his wite Grace of 56 years
